Verizon has just confirmed that they will be offering the recently announced LG Lucid 4G starting March 29. The device will be sold for $79.99 for people who choose to sign up for a two-year contract. The LG Lucid 4G sports a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. LG promises that it will be soon upgrading the firmware of the phone to Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
On the other hand, you can also get AT&T’s offer for the Nokia Lumia 900 for $20 more starting April 8.
Sprint has just released it’s recent quarterly earnings and while they continue to gain customers, they are still bleeding cash. According to the report, the carrier added a whopping 1.6 million in new subscribers which adds up to a total of 55 million subscribers nationwide.
In terms of handset sales, the company is also doing good with the iPhone 4S as one of their bestselling phones at 1.8 million sold within the said period.
Unfortunately, their subsidies and sales expenses did not do well for the company’s bottomline as Sprint reported a net loss of $1.3 billion for the quarter which totals to $2.89 billion for the year.

Remember when Disney just made animated films and theme parks? Well, its seems like the company has come a long way with their products and has decided to make Android phones for the Japanese market now.
The first of which is the DM010Sh, an all touchscreen device which features a 4-inch 3D-enabled qHD device with a pixel resolution of 540 x 960. It sports an 8 megapixel camera and a 1 GHz processor.
The second is the DMO11SH which features a FWVGA touchscreen with a pixel resolution of 854 x 480 and sports a sliding keypad.
It is not certain if Disney will ever bring their smartphones to this side of the world but does anybody care? Really?

It seems like US Airways is joining the mobile age, as they’ve announced that mobile boarding passes is now acceptable in 14 US airports as part of their plans of extending the system to additional airports before the year ends.
The testing began at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas back in December of last year which was successful. Now, airports like Laguardia International Airport in New York and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, DC will be accepting mobile boarding passes from the airline.

It seems that companies like Foursquare and Gowalla has really hit it off as a new research confirms that they are loved by America. A new study conducted by the Pew Research Center says that around 28 percent of adult Americans take advantage of location-based services.
Specific details include that 5% out of those 28 percent use their phones to check-in on places they go to while 23% search for recommendations on pretty much everything based on their location.
Also, 9 percent of internet users chose to link their social network accounts to these services so that in the event of a check-in, an automatic post will also appear in their walls/news feeds.

A leak from Costco’s internal memo suggests that the much awaited BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be launching on September 14. And if the source is right, we can expect the phone hitting on Costco and to electronic gadget stores nationwide.
Based on previous announcements, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 features a 480 x 360 display and is powered by an 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. Its camera will come in the form of a 5 megapixel one complete with an LED flash.

T-Mobile USA has announced the launch of the HTC Wildfire S and will be priced for only $79.99 when you sign up for a new contract with the network. The HTC Wildfire S is fitted with a 3.2″ touchscreen display with a pixel resolution. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and as expected will have the HTC Sense UI on top of it.
The phone is powered by a 600MHz processor with an accompanying 512MB of RAM. It features Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and 3G.Release date will be on August 3rd and will be coming to all T-Mobile and select electronics stores nationwide.

Hulu has announced the launch of their mobile app that will cater to their Hulu Plus subscribers called Hulu Plus for Android. The application is free for download but will of course require a subscription to Hulu’s service.
The app is currently limited to only six phones including the HTC Inspire 4G, Nexus One, Nexus S, Motorola Droid II, Droid X and the Motorola Atrix.
You can use the app to view all the services including a full season pass to shows and episodes from from NBC, ABC, Saturday Night Live, Grey’s Anatomy, The Office and much much more.
